OVERVIEW
The 2029 A Team provides freshmen with a competitive, developmental environment where they can continue refining fundamentals, gain confidence, and prepare for the years ahead. This team is ideal for athletes who have the potential to reach AA level, but benefit most right now from structured skill development and strong coaching.
Program Objectives
- Player Growth → Emphasis on mechanics, stick skills, and applying fundamentals in a faster game setting.
- IMLCA Profiles → Every athlete receives a profile, ensuring they learn how to present themselves and begin the recruiting journey in a low-pressure way.
- Film Support → Athletes gain access to highlight-building tools and early film feedback.
- Confidence & Role Development → Helping athletes build consistency, leadership, and lacrosse IQ.
Recruiting Prep → Families are introduced to the recruiting landscape with clear expectations on timing and next steps.
Anticipated Schedule
This Summer, our teams will compete in a mix of local, regional, and national events — each chosen to match the competitive level and development goals of the roster.
Method
- Skill Repetition & Application: Stickwork, ground balls, dodging, defending, and clearing at game pace.
- Team Concepts: Learning offensive spacing, ball movement, defensive help, and communication.
- Film Integration: Highlight reels supported by staff to build comfort with the process.
Culture Focus: Coaches emphasize sportsmanship, resilience, and enjoying the game as development accelerates.
