We Are Fluid… Now What?
Why the Change?
Leaving Alpha Lacrosse was not a decision we took lightly. We know this shift created uncertainty, especially for families navigating critical years in their player’s development and recruiting journey. But we also recognized that real change was necessary: more support, better communication, and a more player-focused experience.
We chose to build something better, and that’s why we created Forward Lacrosse, presented as the Fluid Lacrosse team brand.
What Makes Fluid Different
- Player-First Model
We’ve designed three distinct team tracks to support athletes at every stage:
- State (AA) Teams: High commitment, high competition, refinement of skills
- State“A” Teams: For high-potential players who benefit most from skill development.
- Regional Teams: Local and flexible. In the sweet spot for skill acquisition.
- Real Recruiting Support
Every high school player receives access to the IMLCA Recruiting Portal, giving families control over their athlete’s exposure—with guidance from coaches and no gatekeeping. - Feedback as Fuel
We’re building in access to game film, highlight creation tools, and individual breakdowns by current collegiate players and coaches. We’re also committed to being responsive to family feedback and continually improving the player experience.
4. Forward is More Than a Name
We’re here to create something better for Wisconsin lacrosse—stronger communication, player celebration, and consistent support. We’ve added a Director of Communications to ensure families always know what’s happening, and we’re committed to growing a culture that values skill, character, and growth.
Are there scholarship/financial aid opportunities?
Yes! We know club lacrosse can be expensive on many levels. We are not a bottom line, registration based club. We feel this allows us to make decisions that serve the mission regardless of financial impact. As such, we do not ever want finances to be a deterrent to someone playing in the program and have worked with many families to make sure they can make it work financially. Just ask for help and you will get it.
